DALLAS DISTRICT— In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and address congestion, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) approved contract awards for projects in the Dallas area.

“Like all of Texas, the urban areas of our state will continue to see rapid population growth,” said Commissioner Victor Vandergriff. “Relieving congestion on our roadways not only improves our quality of life, but also enhances economic opportunities. We are pleased to partner with state and local entities who share our vision of keeping Texas moving.”

Contracts awarded include rural bridge replacements on county roads at Big Onion Creek Tributary and Little Onion Creek Tributary in Ellis County. Massana Construction Inc. received the contract for $602,706.08.

Construction start dates will be established in upcoming meetings between TxDOT and the contractors.
