The Ellis County Hispanic Organization will host its 2013 Christmas Toy Drive from 6-11:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at the National Guard Armory, 628 N. Grand Ave. in Waxahachie.

The event will feature a live performance by local, award-winning conjunto band Baraja de Oro, a family fun zone with a bounce house and pictures with Santa, door prizes and music by DJ Puro Party Productions.

Admission costs $10 per person with children 10 and under free, or the donation of a $10 unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots.

The evening will also include a menudo contest with the first place winner receiving a trophy and $100 and second place receiving a trophy. Registration costs $25 and contestants must be entered by Sunday, Nov. 24. To register, contact Cindy at 972-935-3684 or Linda at 469-387-0186.

Baraja de Oro will also be raffling off a private performance, perfect for a quinceanera, wedding, anniversary or birthday party. To win the private performance valued at $1,800 to $2,200, guests can earn a ticket by donating $25 to E.C.H.O. each donation of $25 earns another ticket and a better chance to win.

At the end of the night, the winners name will be drawn and that person will have one calendar year to have Baraja de Oro perform at their private event. To qualify, the winner must live within Ellis County or the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
