The Midlothian JV baseball team is on fire right now and is riding a long winning streak.

Last week, the team defeated the DeSoto Eagles on Monday night by a score of 14-0.

Jordan Johnson, Ryan Breaud, and Robert Brueggemeyer combined to pitch a shutout. Each pitcher threw very well with a combined 10 strikeouts on the night.

The Panther defensive was superb led by Jaycek Jackson, Blake Wilson, and Nick Palmer. The JV squad pounded out 12 hits in five innings of play. Kyler Castillo, Brandon Consalus, Raby Hampton, and Richard Due had two hits a piece on the night. Blake Wilson, Caleb Bly, Nick Palmer and Jordan Johnson added extra base hits in this game.

The team then defeated the South Grand Prairie Warriors by a score of 11-0 on Friday night at Panther Field.

Grant Adams pitched all six innings in this ball game only allowing one hit and striking out seven batters. Adams kept the Warrior hitter off balance all night long with a great mixture of pitches.

The defense behind Adams was stellar led by Jaycek Jackson, Blake Wilson, Hunter Pustejovsky and Nick Vela. The JV Panther offense was on fire pounding out 11 hits in 6 innings of play. Multi-hit games were turned in by Parker Armstrong (2-4, 2B), Jaycek Jackson (2-3), and Robert Brueggemeyer (2-2, 2B, 2BB).

Nick Vela had a huge two-out double that scored the first 2 runs of the game to get the Panther offense going.  Ryan Breaud, Caleb Bly, Hunter Pustejovsky, and Blake Wilson also had hits in this game.

The team capped the week by defeating the Timberview Timberwolves by a score of 11-6 on Monday night.

Ryan Breaud got the win throwing the first 3 innings for the Panthers. He left the game with an 8-6 lead. Garrett Hofstad made his season debut by pitching two shutout innings facing the minimum 6 batters. Robert Brueggemeyer pitched the last inning of the game and allowed no runs.

Excellent defense was played by Hunter Pustejovsky and Raby Hampton. The offense was paced by Ryan Breaud (3-3, 2B) and Jordan Johnson (2-3, 2B). Blake Wilson, Grant Adams, Richard Due, Hunter Pustejovsky, and Nathan White also added base hits on the night.

The JV Panther season record now sits at 14-2 and 4-1 in district play.
