The Midlothian girls soccer team won a pair of huge games last week to jump into a first place tie in the district.
The Lady panthers beat Mansfield 1-0 behind freshmen Brooke Greeson's seconnd half goal.
The game typified what has become a hard hitting rivalry between the two teams.
The Lady Panthers scored quick and often Friday night versus the Desoto Eagles.
Kiley Martens scored inside the first minute to get it started. The girls spread the scoring around with all nine goals being scored by different players. Autum Schwartz, Caitlyn Conley, Kamy Martin, Alexa England, Matty Mosley, Brooke Greeson, Sky Reynolds, and Kelsey Martin each had one.
Midlothian (16-3-2, 10-1 in 7-5A) is now tied for district play with just two games remaining before the playoffs.

On Tuesday, the Panthers lost to Mansfield 5-3. On Friday, the team defeated DeSoto Friday night 3-1despite hitting the post six times.
With the score tied at one, the Panthers netted two in the last eight minutes. Goals came from Joel Mathis (Eric Nutt assist), Connor Henderson (Antonio Fiallos) and Brandon Bynum (unassisted).
The Panthers are 4-5-2 in district, 5-10-4 overall, and they are fighting to get back into the playoff race.
The JV2 Lady Panthers suffered a 2-0 loss to Waxahachie.
Hannah Wise and Ashley Ray both surrendered a goal each. The Panthers created numerous chances against a quick Indian team, but failed to find the back of the net. The ladies made adjustments throughout the game and never quit in their efforts.

The girls surrendered the first goal early in the game when they turned the ball over in their own zone. The Lady Panthers failed to score throughout the rest of the half despite numerous chances on corner kicks.
Early in the second half, the Panthers fell behind 2-0 after turning over the ball in the 18-yard box.
The ladies worked hard to erase the deficit and scored off a corner kick with less than 3 minutes left. The goal was scored by McKennah Reed with an assist from Courtney Varner. The Lady Panthers split the series against Duncanville for the season going 1-1.
The JV2 Boys lost by the score of 5-1 to Duncanville. Scoring the lone goal was Cameron Hyndman on a penalty kick. This bring the JV2 Boys district record to 1-2-2 and 6-5-3 overall.
