The JV Panther baseball team started out its season against a tough Waco Midway team and won 7-6.

Caleb Bly pitched an excellent game keeping the tough Midway hitters off balance all night.

Grant Adams came in and maintained the Panther lead. Ryan Breaud finished on the mound slamming the door on the Midway comeback bid.

Leading hitters on the night included: Ryan Breaud (2-2, walk), Nick Vela (1-1, walk), Jake Crenshaw (2-2), and Brandon Consalus, who reached base twice with two walks of his own.

The team began day two of the Waxahachie baseball tournament with a 9-0 win against the Ennis Lions.

Jordan Johnson and Ryan Breaud threw three innings each of shutout baseball. Both pitchers commanded their pitches very well and held a pesky Lions lineup at bay.

Kyler Castillo led the way offensively with a single and a double. Hits were also turned in by Brandon Consalus, Richard Due, Caleb Bly, Jaycek Jackson, Robert Brueggemeyer and Nick Palmer. Parker Armstrong has two RBI's in the contest and Thomas Hickman reached base twice with hit by pitches.

The defensive charge was led by Caleb Bly who played very well behind the plate.

Game three ended with another shutout for the Panthers.  The JV squad defeated the Corsicana Tigers by a score of 6-0.

Outsatnding pitching was turned in by Nathan White and Raby Hampton. White threw four shutout innings and consistently pounded the strike zone. Hampton pitched the last three innings giving up no runs and only four hits.

The defense behind those pitchers was outstanding. Grant Adams made a stellar play in the outfield throwing out a runner trying to stretch out a double. Jaycek Jackson, Blake Wilson and Nick Vela made play after play in the infield.

Hunter Pustejovsky was excellent behind the plate with a big pick off at third base.  Jaycek Jackson and Jacob Crenshaw dominated at the plate. Both players went 3 for 3 on the night with multiple RBI's. Hits were also turned in by Ryan Breaud, Blake Wilson, and Richard Due.  Nick Vela also reached base twice with walks.

The JV team finished the tournament with an 11-2 win over the Cedar Hill Longorns.

Hunter Pustejovsky pitched very well for four innings only allowing two runs, keeping a one run lead heading into the final inning.  Robert Brueggemeyer came into to the last inning needing to pitch well.  Brueggemeyer struck out the side mixing in a nasty curveball.

The Panther bats were slow until a break out inning scoring the final eight runs and driving the nail in the coffin of the Longhorns. Extra base hits turned in by Nick Vela, Caleb Bly and Parker Armstrong who also added a single and a couple RBI's. Raby Hampton reached base all 3 at bats and also had a big RBI single early in the game to get the Panthers going.

The JV Panthers also played very good defense led by Jaycek Jackson, Blake Wilson, and Raby Hampton.
