The Midlothian freshmen baseball team is off to a strong start to its season.

The team beat Ennis 5-0 in a tournament recently.

Dylan Glass threw a no-hitter for the Midlothian Freshmen team as they defeated the Ennis Lions 5-0, in the Red Oak Tournament.  Glass pitched 5 2/3 innings for the Panthers, striking out 8 batters, while walking only 2.  Caleb Terry recorded the last out for Midlothian, striking out the final batter of the game in relief of Glass.  Deveyian Augustine, Rob Mckelvey, Keaton Allen, and Drake Wayland all drove in runs for the Panthers.  Allen had an RBI Double and McKelvey had an RBI Triple.

The next day, Midlothian blew out Red Oak 17-0.

The Midlothian Freshmen won Consolation in the Red Oak Tournament over the weekend, by beating the Red Oak Maroon team 17-0.  Drake Wayland and Caleb Terry combined to no-hit the Hawks, both pitchers combined to strike out 13 Red Oak batters.

Wayland pitched 5 innings, striking out 10 and walking one, while Terry struck out the side in the 6th inning.  The Panthers banged out 19 hits on the afternoon, with Wayland leading the hitters going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's and a double on the day.  Charlie Clark, Coby Calvery, Mason Johnson, and Rob Mckelvey all had two hits a piece for Midlothian as well.

The team then started a tournament in Waxahachie and beat Red Oak, Ennis and Mansfield Legacy.

The Freshmen Baseball Team avenged two previous losses to Red Oak by beating the Hawks by a score of 10 -1 in the first game of the Waxahachie Tournament.  Dylan Glass picked up the win for the Panthers on the mound, pitching 4 solid innings and allowing only one run.  Glass struck out 4 batters, while allowing only 3 hits.  Payton Parker was the leading hitter for Midlothian, going 2 for 2 with 3 RBI's.  Deyvian Augustine, Charlie Clark, & Rob McKelvey also contributed to the Panther offense, each picking up a hit on the afternoon.

The Midlothian Freshmen beat the Mansfield Legacy Broncos 7-4 on Friday.  Drake Wayland was the winning pitcher in game two and Caleb Terry pitched the final two innings in relief.  Wayland pitched four innings gave up 4 Runs on 3 Hits and struck out 9 Legacy batters.  Terry did not surrender a run and he struck out 2 batters in his two innings of work.  Dylan Glass, Rob McKelvey, and Coby Calvery were the leading hitters for the Panthers.

The Midlothian Panther freshmen defeated the Ennis Lions by a score of 8-1 on Friday afternoon.  Caleb Terry was the winning pitcher for the Panthers, going 4 innings, allowing no runs, one hit, and he had 6 strikeouts.  Darien Bottkol and Charlie Clark also pitched an inning for Midlothian.  The leading hitters for the Panthers were Dylan Glass (2 for 2, double,3 RBI's) and Rob McKelvey (2 for 3, 1 RBI).
