The Frank Seale girls basketball teams started their season last week with games against Red Oak and came away with two wins.

The Lady Cubs eighth-grade B Team brought home a victory against with a score of 29-7.

Leading scorers for the Lady Cubs were Tara Groden with nine points, Stephanie Martinez with eight, Christina Balderrama with five, Jessica Garza, Shelby Noah and Cassidy Grant all added two points and Anna Groden had one.

The seventh-grade A team fell short to Red Oak 30-24.

The Lady Cubs fought hard to try and overcome their opponent and got outstanding defense from Sydney Oliver and Emma Slater. High scorers of the game were Slater with 12 points and Baylee Frederick with five.

The seventh-grade B Girls Basketball had an amazing win 22-11.

They were behind early, but pulled off the win. Alyssa Young was the leading scorer with 18 points and Aliyah Muhammad had four.

The eighth-grade A team lost a hard-fought game to Red Oak 29-27.

Leading scorers for the Lady Cubs were Kylie Harrell with 10 points, following close behind was Mikayla McGuire with eight, Tatum Sorrels with five, Annabel Anderson with three, and Sydney Massey had one. The Lady Cubs fought hard till the end, but came up short.

All of the teams will play again Dec. 5 against Jobe on the road. The A teams will play at 5:30 and B team will follow.
