Both the Frank Seale boys and girls basketball teams are beginning to hit their strides this season.
All of the FSMS teams have been in action and here's a quick rundown of their recent games.
The Lady Cub seventh-grade B basketball had a solid team effort that lead to success against Danny Jones. The leading scorers were Sam Rodgers with eight points, Tyler Rickett with six, Ashley Omehe with six, and Alyssa Young with five.
The FSMS Lady Cubs eighth-grade B team went head-to-head with Danny Jones and won 30-21.
Leading scorers were Aubrey Walton with 14 points, Shelby Noah with five, Chloe Vingee with three, and Jessica Garza, Bethani Cook, Cassidy Grant and Tara Groden all had two points each.
The FSMS Lady Cubs seventh-grade A team fought hard against Danny Jones, but fell short 52-24. Leading scorers were Emma Slater and Sydney Oliver with eight points each. McKenzie Maner, Megan Martens and Baylee Frederick played outstanding defense.
The FSMS Lady Cubs eighth-grade A team played their hearts out and beat Danny Jones 38-29. The leading scorer was Mikayla McGuire with 14 points. Also contributing to the score was Kylie Harrell with 12 points, Tatum Sorrels with seven, Stephanie Martinez and Maddie Chastain had two and Peyton Visconti had one.
The eighth-grade boys A team, had a close game most the way through the game, but lost 54-44.
The seventh-grade A boys team played hard, but lost the game against Danny Jones.
The seventh-grade boys white team played in the Kennedale tournament this past weekend and faced Pike in the first game, then Walnut Grove in the second game.
The Cubs came up short in both games, but continue to get better and improve.
The Cubs eighth-grade White team traveled to Danny Jones and got off to a hot pace early. The Cubs battled hard for four quarters, but came up short in the end. The loss was only the first of the season for the team.
The Frank Seale Cubs seventh-grade B team played Danny Jones and lost 38-16, but not without a fight. They played hard all game and fought hard. Caden Hawkins played great with quite a few points. Jace Mathis played great defense.
The boys seventh-grade B team played in the Kennedale tournament recently.
Friday night, they played Kerr Middle School. They fought hard all game, but lost the game. Then Saturday, they played Worley Middle School and lost 38-28. Janson Jackson came up big on offense scoring most of the points along with Brant McLemore. On defense, they all played really well and hustled all game.
