Denison Police

Arrest — A vehicle was stopped in the 1500 block of South Austin on Oct. 7 for a traffic violation. The passenger was arrested for permitting unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle.

Theft — A victim in the 1200 block of West Shepherd said on Oct. 7 that his Smart Watch was stolen. The suspect has been identified and the watch recovered. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Offce.

Criminal mischief — A victim in the 400 block of Parnell said on Oct. 7 that her ex-husband damaged her vehicle by scratching it after they had a dispute over her leaving their children with him.

Assault — A victim in the 700 block of North Eighth Street alleged on Oct. 7 that she was assaulted by her husband by him hitting her with a belt and pulling her off a bed and breaking her necklace, while he was making accusations against her about their marriage. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.

Credit card abuse — A complainant in Tower Lane said on Oct. 8 that her debit card was stolen and used without her permission. She named a suspect. The investigation will continue.

Assault — A victim in the 200 block of Sharon Circle said on Oct. 8 that he was assaulted by a man over comments made about his and the suspect’s children. The case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.

Harassment — A victim in the 600 block of West Chestnut alleged on Oct. 8 that she is constantly receiving texts and phone calls from her estranged husband. The investigation will continue and a case forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.

Burglary of a habitation — A victim in the 1800 block of North State Highway 91 said on Oct. 9 that someone forced open his front door and removed two televisions and two Xbox units with controllers. Police will be following up on leads.

Criminal mischief — A complainant in the 1300 block of West Hull said on Oct. 9 that his vehicle was damaged by being scratched. Police will be following up on leads.

Assault — A complainant in the 800 block of West Texas alleged on Oct. 9 that he was assaulted by his girlfriend and she wouldn’t let him leave the residence they were in. The woman alleged that the complainant also struck her. Both people were arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.

Erratic Driver — A vehicle in the 1400 block of South Austin was stopped on Oct. 9 for a traffic violation and the driver was arrested for not having an operator’s license. The passenger was arrested for public intoxication.

Arrest — Officers saw a man sitting outside a local nightclub in the 600 block of South Mirick. He was arrested for possession of controlled substance and issued a court summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sherman Police

Found property — An employee at a business in the 100 block of East Taylor Street located a plastic bag with an unknown substance inside of the bag on Oct. 10. A report was taken for found property.

Theft of property — Sherman Police made contact with a theft victim by phone on Oct. 10. He claimed that an individual had taken several items from his motel room without permission. A report was generated

Burglary of a vehicle — An officer was dispatched to the 1900 block of Texoma Parkway on Oct. 10 in regards to a possible burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer discovered the driver door window was broken out and the center console was open. The officer spoke with the victim who advised she had $300 dollars cash in the center console that is missing. A burglary of vehicle report was generated.
