Khleber Miller Van Zandt IV died on February 4th, 2017. He was born to K.M. III and Mary Eva Crawford Van Zandt in Fort Worth on October 28th, 1930. He was a great-grandson of noted Fort Worth pioneer, Major K.M. Van Zandt.

In 1950 Khleber married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Smith of Fort Worth, and they welcomed three children: Khleber V (Linda Mixson), Venice FL; William Frank (“Bill”), Fort Worth; and Kimberley (“Berle”) (Donna Rand), Cloudcroft NM.

Khleber was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Tech, Texas Christian, and Arlington State College (now UTA). His work experience included the Fort Worth Water Department, Anderson Labs, Texas Refinery Corporation, National Medical Care, and a variety of entrepreneurial endeavors.

Grandchildren include Khleber VZ 6th (Zul Fadri), Oakland CA; Virginia Loraine VZ (“Lori”) (Bryan Volmert), Saint Louis MO; William Townes VZ (“Willie”) (Sami Smith), Kingwood TX; Tony Gonzalez, Ann Arbor MI; Cathy Gonzalez, Ridgecrest CA; Julie Gonzalez (Cody Erickson), Austin TX; John Gonzalez, Pittsburgh PA; Ryan VZ (Vicki), Lacon IL; Amy (David Beregszaszy), Fort Worth.

Great-grandchildren include Khleber 7th (“Miller”) and Parker Alvarez VZ, Kingwood TX; Ben and Sam Gonzalez, Ann Arbor MI; Collin Miller VZ, Lacon IL; and William Isaiah VZ and Will Beregszaszy, Fort Worth.

After Sandra’s death in 1997, Khleber was blessed to meet Linda Gayle Richards of Cedar Hill TX. His life would not have been the same without her love and care over the past twenty years. Khleber’s family very much appreciates her loving support.
