Robert James Klein, known also as Bob, was born July 8, 1939, in Tracy, Minnesota into a hard-working family of eleven. He was raised on a farm where life wasn't always easy, but he maintained a playful sense of humor. His sister, Helen, remembers "Bobby Jimmy" as a happy and content child. He was also known as the hardest worker in the family. To this day, these are his defining characteristics.

His life changed when a young, telephone operator, Jane Warner, was instrumental in leading him into a relationship with God. Within a year, his love for God grew as did his love for Jane. They married on March 6, 1959. After the birth of his first two children, Danny and Donna, he felt a strong call toward missions. He packed up, took his family, and moved south toward the border. Their family increased over the following years with the birth of Debbie and David. As the years went by, Bob grew deeper in wisdom and humbly followed Christ. He held strong to his convictions and never wavered. From place to place and person to person, he lived out the Lord's call on his life His love for God's word showed in his time spent with his 10 grandchildren: Crystal Martin & husband Jeff, Michael Stewart & wife Alyson, Stephanie McReynolds & husband Jeff, Justin Grmela, Hannah Jaral & husband Eduardo, Matthew Klein & wife Valorie, Jonathan Stewart & wife Elizabeth, Emily Klein, Laura Loggains, Allison Klein, Taylor King, and 15 great grandchildren: Shad Martin, Hadassah Martin, Magdalena Martin, Destiney Martin, Jeffery Martin, Colby Grmela, Wanda Klein, Ethan Grmela, Damien Jaral, Charlie Stewart, Xeus Jaral, Harper Anne Stewart, Bailey Huber, Haven Huber and Maisi Huber.

Not one of them can deny his godly influence on their life. He leaves behind a compassion- filled humble legacy.
