James Kenneth Kaptchinskie, 19, of Venus, passed away Saturday evening, April 1, 2017, at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. He was born June 5, 1997, in Waxahachie to Frank Kaptchinskie and Tiffany Shelton. James loved scouting and was an Eagle Scout with Troop 512 and Scout Master, E. J. Tews in Midlothian. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his parents, Frank Kaptchinski and Tiffany Shelton; best girlfriend, Hope Sierra Smith; two brothers, Frankie Kaptchinskie, Jr and William Lukas Kaptchinskie; aunts and uncles, William Wilson and wife Tammi, Phillip Wilson, Jenny Reed and Laurie Caswell; great-grandmother, Faye Caswell; many cousins and extended family along with his Troop 512 family.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, April 7, 2017, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Shiloh Cowboy Church, 700 W. Highway 67, Venus TX 76084. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma.
