Margaret Rogers Ward passed away peacefully at her home in Midlothian, TX early Sunday morning, April 23, 2017. Margie was a vibrant, happy person who could brighten up anyone’s day. She loved spending time with family and friends. Writing poetry, cooking, sewing, thrift store shopping, as well as relaxing at home with her beloved husband, Scott. Everywhere she went, you could always catch her with a cup of decaf sweet tea in hand/. She had a great sense of humor, and her laugh could make the saddest person happy. She cared so much for others and would put anyone she knew before herself. She will always be remembered, and her memories will live on forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jo Nell Rogers, sisters Linda Kay Rogers and Frankie Jo Rogers and step-daughter, Amy Ward. She is survived by her husband, Charles Scott Ward, children, Freddie Lewellen Jr. and Kristi Lewellen, grandchildren, Morgan Wendler, Devin Lewellen, Bryndon Lewellen, Tyler Lewellen, Sabrina Lwellen and Angelina Ward, great-grandchildren, Kynslee Wendler and Ella Wendler, sisters, Brenda Syrios and husband, John, Donna Fincher, Bobbie Sanders and husband, Robbie and Tammie Hooten and husband, Duke and many cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Midlothian Funeral Home.
