WAXAHACHIE — During its latest session, an Ellis County Grand Jury indicted Hannalee McKay Adams, 18, on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Waxahachie Police arrested the North Richland Hills resident on Dec. 13, 2016, and she was indicted May 10.
According to the indictment, Adams allegedly caused bodily injury to the female victim by kicking her in the face. During the commission of the offense, Adams allegedly used or exhibited a knife.
Waxahachie Police Lt. Todd Woodruff said officers responded to the domestic incident on Dec. 12, 2016, in the 100 block of Pinto Dr.
Woodruff stated it was reported that Adams had threatened a family member with a knife. He added that Adams was 17 years old at the time of the incident.
According to online records from the Wayne McCollum Detention Center, Adams is no longer listed as an inmate. Records from the Ellis County District Clerk’s Office stated that Adams’ arraignment is set for 9 a.m. on June 6 in the 40th Judicial District Court.
