WAXAHACHIE — Bosworth Steel Erectors helped Meals on Wheels celebrate March for Meals, the national campaign to bring awareness to senior issues such as hunger, isolation and loss of independence, on Wednesday, March 15. All breakfasts and lunches delivered to clients throughout Ellis County today were sponsored by Bosworth Steel.
“We rely on the support from businesses and organizations across Ellis County during the month of March, but also throughout the year,” said Community Development Specialist Lisa Deese. “We couldn’t provide the services that Meals on Wheels does without community involvement.”
During the month-long March for Meals campaign, meal programs throughout the nation to raise much-needed funds and recruit volunteers, all toward the goal of ending senior hunger and enabling a growing elderly population to live at home for as long as they can.
Sponsorships for March for Meals are still available at many levels, ranging from $200 to $5,000 with exclusive publicity opportunities for top sponsors.
