STILLWATER, Oklahoma — Christopher Goerig, of Midlothian, was honored by Oklahoma State University at the recent College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Scholarships and Awards Banquet.

The scholarship recipients were recognized during the banquet where CASNR presented more than $300,000 in scholarships and awards to nearly 200 students. These scholarships are part of the $1.4 million in total scholarships CASNR students will receive during the 2017-2018 academic year from both the college and its academic departments.

Goerig is the recipient of a $1,000 SST Software Scholarship. He is a junior majoring in plant and soil sciences. He is a graduate of Midlothian High School and is the son of Chris and Jackie Goerig. 

Goerig is a member of the Agronomy Club.

“We are fortunate to have many high achieving students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources,” said Dr. Cynda Clary, CASNR associate dean of academic programs. “It is an honor and a privilege to award scholarships to help fund their CASNR experience. These scholarships would not be possible without the generous support from our CASNR alumni and friends, and we truly appreciate their continued support of the college and our outstanding students.”
