Mary Louise Lawson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 12, 2017. She was born in Caney, Kansas to Wilfred and Lissie Morris on March 21, 1930. Mary was a loving, generous daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She moved to Midlothian in 2007 and quickly became a part of the Senior Citizen’s Center, where she made several good friends, including Audrey. She enjoyed participating in the senior dances with her friends, Bill, Carol and Joe. Her hobbies included crochet, cross-stitch and playing a mean game of Skip-Bo with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ernie Lawson, son, Michael, brothers, Mo and Melvin, sisters, JoAnn and Marcia and her grandson, James. She is survived by her sister, Starley, son and daughter-in-law Butch and Marie, daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Richard Jackson, granddaughter, Linda Smith, granddaughter and her husband, Michelle and Michael Brinkman and grandchildren, Madison and Matthew. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would simply like everyone to remember to love they neighbor, be kind, stay strong and help one another.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Midlothian Funeral Home and graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on August 17, 2017, at Moore’s Memorial Gardens, Arlington.
