Vicenta Gonzales entered into heaven at the age of 89 after a hard-fought battle with lymphoma. She was born in the small town of Tynan, Texas on October 22, 1927, to Fidel and Gregoria Infante. Vicenta married her husband, Silvestre Gonzales, on May 15, 1946, and they had five children. She and her family moved to Midlothian in 1963, where she made their home. Vicenta was best known for her amazing cooking, including her famous tamales. She enjoyed spending time with her family around the table eating and telling stories. You could always find her tending to her flowers and working in her garden. She could grow the brightest and prettiest flowers that were the envy of the neighborhood. Vicenta was blessed with eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, whom she was very proud of and brought her much joy. She will be greatly missed and it is with sadness that we say goodbye. Vicenta will remain forever in our hearts. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids from Bristol Hospice Pathways for their continued care of Vicenta over the last few months. She is preceded in death by her husband, Silvestre Gonzales, her brothers Felipe Infante, Fidel Ray Infante, Jr, Earino Infante, and her sister Manuela Jasso, her daughter-in-law Diana Gonzales.
