RED OAK — The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public in locating several suspects involved in a burglary that took place on Sept. 11.

“Ellis County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in the 200 Block of Bells Chapel Road in Red Oak. Deputies learned that actors forced entry into the residence, taking miscellaneous articles, credit cards and a large sum of US currency,” Ellis County Sheriff’s PIO Sgt. Joe Fitzgerald said. “The actors were seen by a witness fleeing the area in a white Mazda extended cab truck. A picture of the truck captured on video surveillance.”

Fitzgerald stated that the sheriff’s office criminal investigators learned that the actors proceeded to use the victim’s credit cards at Home Depot, Macy’s, and McDonald’s in Mesquite.

“Ellis County Investigators discovered that the Red Oak Police Department had a similar burglary reported on Sept. 4. Investigators learned the actor(s) made entry into a residence and took miscellaneous items along with credit cards,” Fitzgerald explained. “The actors used the credit cards at Home Depot and McDonald’s in Mesquite.”
