Roy Dean Shipley was born on January 16, 1927, to Robert and Lela Shipley of Garland, TX. He passed away on November 13, 2017, in Dallas, TX. He was married to Jean Campbell for 35 years. They made their home in Midlothian, TX. for 32 years before moving to Rockwall to be near their children and grandchildren. He attended Garland Public Schools graduating from Garland High School in 1944. He enlisted in the Navy following graduation. He started his work career at Tempco & LTV before entering the Real Estate business. He became a Mason where he served for 62 years in multiple branches. He was active in First United Methodist Church of Midlothian and spent many happy years on his farm with his animals and his love of gardening. He loved to say how rich he was with friends and family.
