All of a sudden, we have found ourselves in the Holiday Season. This coming week is Thanksgiving and then Christmas morning will be here before we know it.

I want to hit the pause button for a moment……

Probably more than any other time in history, everyone is busier these days more than ever. But I’d like for us to step away from the busyness of life for just a moment and look outward instead of inward.

Maybe we don’t realize it, or perhaps we know it, but we don’t allow ourselves to go to that place of reality; but for a lot of people, the Holidays are not full of sugar plums and gum drops.

This is not a happy time.

Instead, it’s a reminder of past Holidays when their lives were much happier because they were able to spend this special time of year with the one they loved most. For many, it’s now a time they spend alone, and for some, this is the first Holiday season they are without their loved one.

This all adds up for many, to be a time they actually dread, and they just wish would come and go quickly.

So, I have a “Holiday Challenge” for every one of us. We all know someone who feels the way I just described. I want to encourage everyone to seek out a person who is feeling alone and down this Holiday Season and do something to let them know that they are loved and appreciated. It can be big or small, but doing something is very important.

Ask the Lord to show you who your person is that you are to bless. He will reveal this to you.

The gift that you will receive is seeing their dark eyes light up and their face glow with a huge smile. What an incredible sight to behold. What a beautiful feeling to know that you were able to bring some happiness for a moment for someone who is hurting during this time.

Bring a Holiday Blessing this season. After all, isn’t that what it’s all about in the first place?

Do something to make a difference in someone’s life!
