Tuesday night in Godley could not have started any worse for the Midlothian Heritage girls basketball team but also couldn't have ended any better.

The Jaguars trailed 26-9 at the half before outscoring the Lady Wildcats 35-8 in the second half of the 44-34 road win to improve to 6-2 in District 8-4A.

Heritage, which checked in at No. 18 in this week's TABC 4A poll,

Jasmine Bailey led all scorers with 17 points, while Emma Arnold added 11. Blythe Williams scored seven points, Dani Wallace had six, and Saige Klor rounded out the Jaguar attack with three.

With just four games to play in the regular season, the Jaguars hosts Life Waxahachie this Friday, Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. in their second to last home game. They will then travel to Stephenville next Tuesday, Jan. 30 before hosting No. 2 Glen Rose on Friday, Feb. 2.

Heritage closes out the regular season Tuesday, Feb. 6 on the road against Venus.
