Rex Kirk was born on June 1, 1929 and raised in Midlothian, TX to Sam and Kate Kirk. Raised in Midlothian of humble beginnings by cotton farmers. Rex worked for many years for Vermont Marble Company as a truck driver and later for Superior Frame and Axel. Later he formed a very successful construction company that he sold and is still in business today as PET Construction. After selling the construction company he bought C&K Wholesale Tires of TX and upon sale of the tire company he owned and operated Rex’s Liquor Store. Rex retired at 41 years old and no longer worked for his money but allowed his money to work for him. After his retirement he moved to Delta Colorado with his second wife, Margaret and later with wife, Rebecca. Rex moved back to Texas in 2010 to be near his family. Rex and Daisy’s children are ministers, which made him very proud. Rex entered God’s Kingdom on May 22, 2018 surrounded by a family that loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam, mother, Kate, sister, Mildred and brothers, Harris Wayne and James. Rex will be sorely missed but we will reunite in God’s Kingdom. Rex is survived by his children, Rexa Lynn Kirk Steele (Crickett) and husband, Wayne, Regina Ann Kirk (Gina) Morris and husband, L.D. and Randal Roy Kirk (Randy) and wife, Peggy, grandchildren, Terry Ann, Brandi, Randy, Erin, Chris, Hillary, Russel and Michael and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and sister, Sue McLane.
