MIDLOTHIAN

Construction updates on summer projects consumed the majority of the July Midlothian ISD Board of Trustees meeting.

But first, a special guest spoke during the public comment. Ronnie Clanton thanked the board of trustees for approving the naming of the baseball field at the new Midlothian High School Athletic Complex in his honor.

“I’m very humbled. My wife and I are ecstatic about it, and in fact, she’s been more ecstatic than I have been,” Clanton expressed. “I just want to take a little bit of your time to say thank you. It is an honor. I’m not sure if I’m worthy of what you did for me, but I’ll take it.”
