Midlothian ISD will host its annual homecoming parade at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 with community organization, student and staff showcasing their Panther pride and spirit through floats.

Parade participants will begin lining up at 2:15 p.m. adjacent to the L.A. Mills Administration Complex at the corner of Walter Stephenson and 9th Street.

In tow among the floats will be this year's homecoming senior court and underclassmen princesses.

Midlothian High School Homecoming Queen nominees include Matt Mosley, Grace Bell and Michelle Losey. Homecoming King nominees include Walker Needels, Quindell Daniels, Brendan Cornell and Taylor Rawlinson.

This year's freshman princesses are Brooke Greeson, Mari Kate Northcut and Rylie Sharp; sophomore princesses are Jessica Calvert, Mackenzie Sweeney and Tarin Mergener; and junior princesses are Ashley Johnson, Leo Zhang and Bailey Fry.

The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at halftime during the MHS Panthers versus Grand Prairie Gophers football game, which starts at 7:30 p.m. at the MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium, 1800 S. 14th Street. There will be no homecoming pep rally this year.

MISD students in all grade levels will be released from school early to attend or participate in the parade. Elementary release is at 12:45 p.m.; middle school at 1:35 p.m.; and high school at 1:55 p.m.
