EDITOR’S NOTE: Richard Rozier (along with every candidate) was provided an opporunity to provide a response in today’s edition to any commentary published last week in the Daily Light. In light of the fact he went above and beyond his response to previously published commentary with new campaign material against opponent Judge Carol Bush, in keeping with The Paul Perry Rule to provide a level playing field for all candidates, we have provided Judge Bush with the opportunity to respond.
The past four months of my re-election campaign have been grueling, tiring and gratifying. You have seen both the highs and the lows of the County Judge race and now it is your turn to voice your opinion at the polls. Like many of you, I have grown weary of the signs and politics, and I look forward to the return of normalcy.
Despite the endurance test that is inherent to the process, I am grateful for the strong support that so many of you have consistently demonstrated. I am humbled by your loyalty and good will; and, I deeply appreciate your encouragement during the darker days of the campaign. You, and so many of my colleagues, have been a source of inspiration.
Over the past 25 years, I have witnessed Ellis County grow, change and yet, retain its charm. I am proud of our accomplishments as a County and prouder still to have had the privilege of being your County Judge and representing my community, my friends and neighbors these past five years.
Thank you for your tremendous support. I would be honored to receive your vote on Tuesday and to continue working for the greater good.
With warm regards,
Carol Bush serves as the Ellis County Judge and is running for re-election in Tuesday’s Republican Primary Election.
