The State Board of Education is trying to make decisions again ... bad ones.

People are missing the point. The point being that we need to get rid of the State Board of Education. It is nothing more than a political stomping ground and the board does very little to further the education program in Texas. Leave the decision-making to the local level, a.k.a., the districts who better know their student base.

There is no need to have board members sitting in their ivory tower making ridiculous decisions for the entire state education system. They are generally special interest involved and directed. Years of decisions by the SBOE have worsened education, not made it better. Time to get rid of the SBOE.
