To the Editor,

Congressman Joe Barton recently made a statement that he felt Obamacare was “well intentioned.” However, I must ask, is any unconstitutional exercise of government authority ever a “well intentioned” concept? The pathway to tyranny is littered with the “good intentions” of the governments that eventually turned into statist régimes.  This benign-sounding approach is always how it begins.

Government officials tell us “The system doesn’t work; we have a better way; we can take care of you; just give us more control over your life and utopia will be ushered in.” Such is the siren’s song that lulls the populace into a stupor that makes the loss of their freedom an easy task.

Obamacare has but one — one — intention, and that is to drive us into a single-payer health care system where the government will dictate to us the level and amount of health care we receive.  I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but knowing the Marxist agenda of President Obama, I’m inclined to believe that the debacle of the rollout of Obamacare is not just a disaster resulting from poor planning and execution — it was intended to be such. Its aim is to cause widespread frustration and angst to the extent that people will cry out for a complete single-payer system much like Medicare ... for that is the stated “end game” of the statists in the Democrat party.

So no, Joe, it was never a well-intended agenda; it was and is a sinister one designed to rob us of what little freedom and liberties we have left.

We deserve better! We can do better!
