MIDLOTHIAN — The Jaguars continued district play and remained undefeated in district after beating Faith Family Academy 6-1 on Friday at Midlothian Heritage High School Turf Field.

Through its last four victories, Midlothian Heritage (2-0) has allowed only two goals and scored 16.

During the boys' soccer team's home district opener on Tuesday, senior Austin Terry opened the 4-0 match win with a goal after scoring off a centering pass from junior JJ Strnad. With about 10 minutes left in the half, Terry's shot was blocked but followed up by junior Gunnar Ponivas for a goal.

Freshman Garrett Garvin was on the end of a series of second-half passes between Terry and junior Christian Elliott that gave the Jags a 3-0 lead. and the final goal of the match came via a goal kick headed over the top of the Chargers back line by senior Brad Needham and put into the side netting by Austin Terry for his second goal of the night.

While Terry was the undoubted offensive leader in game No. 1, Garvin found more than a little footing towards his path toward greatness in the second match.

Garvin wrote another chapter in the Midlothian Heritage's history books after earning his first career hat-trick just 12 minutes into the contest — which broke the Jaguar boys' soccer program's record as the fastest hat-trick in its history. Terry also scored three goals during the match and earned a hat-trick of his own.

The Jaguars scored all six of their goals during the 6-1 win before halftime.

The Jaguars were scheduled to face Life Waxahachie High School at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at MHHS Turf Field during the third game of a three-match homestand.
