A decorated egg is a symbol of renewed life and hope. Elaborate Faberge eggs brought jeweled art to expensive popularity and public awareness. There is a collection just as valuable in Meadows, created by the Midlothian Homeschool Coop. Paper-Mache Faberge eggs fill the library display case and will be available for viewing throughout March.

In addition to the eggs, three-dimensional art cubes and lamps decorate the tops of bookshelves, and three floating walls of geometrical origami, self-portraits, marble-painting and various crayon and water-color creations fill the library with original and inspiring art pieces.

The Midlothian Homeschool Coop services 25 families with children from pre-school to high school level. More than 70 children participate in the various academic and fine arts programs offered in the cooperative program.

The Art Show on display in the public library is an annual event the students set up themselves and organize by age group.

Don't forget that GED classes will begin in Meadows Library on March 18.
