MED grants to boost local business

Midlothian Economic Development has launched a program that will provide grant money to support local business efforts to attract customers to the city. According to MED chairman and chief executive officer Kyle Kinateder, this program will reimburse eligible businesses, including non-profits, for up to 50 percent of advertising expenses once their promotional campaigns are completed.

Rural Heritage Farm plans improvements

The Ellis County Rural Heritage Farm has announced plans to improve the western side of the 145-acre farm located west of Waxahachie. The current focus of the farm is for people to experience a living history of late 19th and early 20th century farm families with events at the farm headquarters, and tours of the 1913 McKinney Aday Farmhouse located on the eastern side of the property.
