Approved Home Health Care helped Meals-on-Wheels celebrate March for Meals, the national campaign to bring awareness to senior issues such as hunger, isolation and loss of independence, on Wednesday.

All breakfast and lunch meals delivered to clients throughout Ellis County on Wednesday were sponsored by Approved. Volunteers from Approved also joined volunteers in Midlothian, Waxahachie and Ennis to deliver meal routes as part of their sponsorship.

During the month-long March for Meals campaign, meal programs throughout the nation will work within their communities to raise much needed funds and recruit volunteers, all toward the goal of ending senior hunger and enabling a growing elderly population to live at home for as long as they can.

For more information on how you can volunteer or contribute visit www.servingthechildrenofyesterday.org. Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson & Ellis Counties serves the children of yesterday by helping needy homebound elderly and disabled persons remain independent and healthy in their homes by providing home-delivered meals, daily personal contact, and support for individuals and their families.
