Our precious Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, JoAnn Dillard Stackpole was peacefully carried home to Jesus on November 12, 2017, she was 86 years old and proud to be a 4th generation Texas. Her given name was JoAnn, but her first grandchildren gave her the affectionate moniker of JoJo and that name is how many knew and loved her. JoJo was born in Tyler, TX on July 28, 1931, to Robert Wilson Dillard, Jr. and Martha Elizabeth Thompson Dillard. She grew up in Midlothian, Texas where she became a member of “the girls,” a group of women who were lifelong friends. JoJo enjoyed travel, and as an auditor for Mutual of New York Life Insurance, she saw most of the United States. After retiring from MONY and returning to Texas, she became a businesswoman in Weatherford, TX and was an active member of Weatherford Business and Professional Women organization (now the Texas Business Women of Parker County). Most recently JoJo lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Ft. Worth and was active in her church, Ft. Worth Presbyterian Church. JoJo loved to play the piano, garden and cook for her family. She was an inspiration to those who knew her, and her smile will be long remembered. Her ambition was to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, which she did and will in Heaven. JoAnn is survived by her five children, Patricia Richardson, Donald Corley, Michael Corley, David Corley and Dowell Stackpole, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
