Three Jaguars reached double figures in the scoring column during a Friday home drubbing of Alvarado.

Led by 16 points from Noah Parker, Vincent Lee's 15 and another 12 points scored by Reggie Adams, Midlothian Heritage cruised into its sixth District 8-4A win in as many tries, 75-47.

“We’re progressing as a basketball team," Heritage head boys' basketball coach Andy Slye said. "We’re taking shots every single game. We’re working hard, and we are getting better every day in practice, and it is showing in the game. We got to get better defensively. That’s on me. If we are going to do what our goals are, we have to do better defensively and offensively. But I do think we played better defense tonight. We will get better.”

The win improved No. 11 Heritage to 23-6 on the season and 6-0 in district play.

In addition to the big three, Kaleb Neal scored seven points, Kerrion Fields had six, Quinton Joseph tallied five, and Braydon Bennett and Tristan Paschall each scored four. Kevin Luke added three points, Mason Thomas had two, and Collin Valenta scored one point.

In junior varsity action, the Jaguars improved to 13-8 on the season and 5-1 in district behind Parker Tims' 18 points in a 49-42 overtime win Friday against Alvarado. Jared Cantrell scored 10 points and Ben Allen notched nine.
