Two first-half goals were enough for the (9-2-7) Midlothian Lady Panthers to hold on to a District 10-5A win at home Friday night against Waxahachie.

Stephanie Martinez scored on an assist from freshman Kaleigh Naizer and Tori Sorrels then assisted on a Nazier goal.

Waxahachie fell to 7-5-4 on the season and 3-4-1 in District 10-5A.

The victory marked the 16th-consecutive match without a loss for the Lady Panthers. Their last loss occurred Jan. 5 against McKinney (3-1), which came on the day after they opened the season with a 2-0 loss to Frisco Lone Star in the Frisco Memorial Tournament.


The Lady Indians return home Tuesday to Stuart B. Lumpkins Stadium to host the Mansfield Legacy Lady Broncos. It will be Youth and Junior High Night for the Lady Indian soccer program with free-autographed mini balls from varsity players. All youth in a soccer jersey will receive free admission and junior high girls' soccer players will be recognized on the field between games (approximately 7:15 p.m.)

Midlothian travels to Mansfield to face the Lady Eagles of Mansfield Lake Ridge.

Both matches begin at 7:30 p.m.
