Wine connoisseurs and patrons of the arts will have plenty to enjoy in downtown Midlothian on Saturday, as the Midlothian Chamber of Commerce hosts its Wine and Arts Festival.

The festival is a great time to gather family and friends for an evening of live music, food, art, shopping and wine tasting from premier Texas wineries.

Admission to the festival is free, but tickets for wine tasting are $25 ($45 for couples) and for beer tasting are $10, with a 21-or-over age requirement for both. The Wine and Arts festival will feature more than 15 local wineries.

The festival will last from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., while the wine walk will begin at 2 and end at 8 p.m. There will be lots of live entertainment as well, with musical artists Kadie Lynn, Center 313, the Shane Bell Band and the 9th St Band performing on the main stage.

About 15 food vendors and more than 100 artisans and other vendors are lined up for the event.

The Chamber will operate a shuttle service to and from downtown with free parking at Brookshire’s and Walmart.
