The Class 4A No. 4-ranked Heritage High School girls’ soccer team scored all three of its goals in the first half as the Jaguars defeated Alvarado, 3-0, on Monday night to clinch the District 12-4A championship.
Senior Aaliyah Bivins, junior Kylar Kenter and sophomore Brynn Pollock scored a goal each for the Jaguars, and freshman Kerry Scott added an assist.
Goalkeeper Megan McCarthy stopped all four shots she faced for yet another clean sheet, her seventh in as many district games. The Jags have outscored district competition 49-0 so far.
The Jags (18-3-1, 7-0) will try to run the district table on Tuesday night at Ferris in the regular season finale at 7:15 p.m. They will also face Grapevine in a warm-up game on March 23 at MISD Multipurpose Stadium.

ALVARADO — The Heritage High School boys clinched the district championship Monday night with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Alvarado.
The Jags (22-3-1, 9-0) will try to put the finishing touches on an undefeated district season next Tuesday with a game against Ferris at home starting at 7:15 p.m. The playoffs begin next week for the Jags.
