Sherrie Joy Krevolin, 57, resident of Desoto passed away on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at her home. Sherrie was born on Feb. 9, 1959 in Philadelphia to Harvey and Cynthia Krevolin. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Sherrie taught 5th-grade math and science in the Dallas area where she started her teaching career at the Mark Twain Elementary School. She then moved to Cedar Hill where she taught in the Plummer Elementary School, the Cedar Hill Fifth Grade Center and West Intermediate School. She moved to Midlothian where she taught in the Mt. Peak Elementary School and finally in the J.A Vitovsky Elementary School. After teaching for 31 years she retired in 2012. She was a tremendous educator and was passionate about her students to the point of being part of the Buffalo Hills Homework Club where she would go to the children’s homes to help them with their homework. Sherrie loved watching all sports, especially her Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. She loved traveling the world with her family and friends. Sherrie is survived by her siblings: Andrea & Ivan Levenson of Warminster, PA; Michele & Eric Kramer of North Wales, PA; Robin & Tom Saxe of Avon, CT; and Bret & Susan Krevolin of Harleysville, PA, as well as her nieces & nephews; Jarred & Lynne Levenson, David Levenson & Christine Wright, Avery Saxe, Jordyn Saxe, Jackie Krevolin, Courtney Krevolin, and Allison Krevolin. Sherrie loved her family and friends and lived life to the fullest. A Celebration of Sherrie’s Life will be planned at a future date.
