Wilda Ruth Ingram, 83, passed away in Houston on Sunday, Sept. 22. She was surrounded throughout the day by her loving family and left this earth peacefully.
Ruth was born Aug. 12, 1930 in Ellis County, Texas to Rufus Eugene and Myrtle Marie Seymore. She was the eldest of four children. Her surviving siblings are Jimmie Maurice Seymore, Betty Jean Hayes and Charles Gordon Seymore.
In 1947, Ruth graduated from Waxahachie High School. She and James Ingram were married in December that same year and enjoyed 55 years of marriage while raising their three sons and one daughter.
She worked as a beautician in North Dallas for more than 10 years before joining her husband in the real estate business. In their later years, they enjoyed traveling across the United States, making frequent trips to Key West, Fla. while sightseeing along the way.
Ruth is survived by her children, Doug Ingram and his wife, Susie of Colorado Springs, Colo., Richard Ingram and his wife, Kia of Waxahachie, Dede Rogers and her husband, Greg of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her siblings; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Her loving husband, James Ingram, preceded her in death as well as her son, Dan Ingram.
Arrangements have been made through Boze-Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home, and a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sardis Cemetery on Honeysuckle Trail, Midlothian, Texas, 76065.
