Edward Lee Greeson
Venus - Edward Lee Greeson, 82, from Venus, Texas, ascended to Heaven on Jan. 31, 2021.
Known as 'Frankie D' by close friends and family, he was born in Bell County Texas, but spent his adult life in and around Ellis County attending Midlothian High School and living in Venus.
Edward Greeson began his career working construction to build the original Midlothian TXI plant in 1959 and then joined the company for the next 45 years. Known as "Blackie" by his friends at TXI, he was honored by TXI having received various awards and certificates for safety on the job and other accomplishments.
Frankie was an avid outdoorsman, an excellent deer hunter and fisherman. In addition to hunting and fishing, he never missed a card game with his friends and family, spent many afternoons bowling at Hilltop Bowling Alley, and was known to visit WinStar in Oklahoma on occasion.
Edward "Frankie" Greeson is survived by his wife Dollie Greeson, stepdaughter Deborah Ritter, stepson Darrin Maxwell, daughter Cassandra Smith, son Edward Lee "Grasshopper" Greeson, grandchildren Dylan, Taylor, Hope, Makayla, Dusty and Rocky, and great grandchildren, Hollie Marie and Raynie Deigh, all of whom will miss him dearly.
His body was donated to the UT Southwestern Medical Center Willed Body Program helping to train new physicians, develop new medical techniques and advance medical research.
Celebration of life services will be Saturday evening February 13th at Midlothian Civic Center.
