Tello, Williams each score 3 goals as MHS boys end weekend 2-1

HIGHLAND PARK — The Midlothan Panther boys soccer team picked up two wins in the Highlander Classic before ending the tournament with a loss on Saturday.

The Panthers lost to Richardson, 4-1, to conclude the Highlander Classic. The Panther goal came from Guianny Tello with an assist to Aidan Williams.

On Friday night, the Panthers defeated Dallas Adamson, 3-0, in the Highlander Classic. Caden Hyndman and Zeke Compton split the shutout. Williams got a brace from Nick Arenare and Tello assists, and Wesley Kimbell scored from a Tyler Belk overlap.

The MHS boys defeated Dallas Conrad, 4-0, on Thursday to open the Highland Park tournament. Tello got a brace, with Kimbell and Williams each adding one. Ryan Tate got one assist and Williams added three.

The Panthers (2-2) were scheduled to host Arlington Lamar for their Senior Night festivities on Tuesday night at MISD Multipurpose Stadium.

MHS will compete in the Aledo tournament and will open against Haslet Eaton on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Other games will depend on the bracket on Friday and Saturday.
