RED OAK — Texas State Technical College has announced its Board of Regents Honor Roll members and honor graduates from the North Texas campus, who were recognized at the Spring 2022 Commencement held Monday, May 2, at the Waxahachie Civic Center in Waxahachie.
This summer the Midlothian Police Department School Resource Unit will be hosting its Junior Police Academy (JPA). Back after a two-year hiatus, the JPA is a camp designed to strengthen the connection between law enforcement and local youth, giving them a chance to see what it's like to become a police officer over their summer vacation.

Midlothian resident Jais Muñoz has withdrawn from an upcoming election for an Ellis County Republican Party precinct chairmanship, according to a news release. “After careful thought and much prayer, Jais Muñoz has decided to end his campaign for Republican Party Chairman of Precinct 1034,” the release states.

WASHINGTON — The water level in Nevada's Lake Mead has fallen so low that authorities found two bodies previously hidden in the reservoir's depths, one an apparent homicide victim stuffed into a barrel. Shipping containers were approved as allowable by right for heavy and medium industrial zones last Tuesday in a short meeting of the Midlothian City Council. City planning manager Marcos Narvaez told the council that the city has received numerous requests regarding the use of shipping containers as accessory buildings.
