Gragson picks up fifth NASCAR Xfinity victory
In what is turning out to be a banner season for Noah Gragson, the driver of the No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet scored his fifth NASCAR Xfinity Series victory of the year in Saturday’s rain-shortened Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway.


Sweeney returns as Jags sweep Summit
The Heritage Jaguars were glad to get junior Grace Sweeney back on the floor Friday evening after nearly a month’s absence. Sweeney didn’t put up many numbers, but her presence seemed to spark the Jaguars as they swept all three sets over Mansfield Summit, 25-11, 25-20, 25-18, at HHS Arena in District 14-5A volleyball play.

Tips to improve hunter safety, reduce accidents
Last year, hunting related accidents in Texas hit an alltime low, and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is hoping to continue that downward trend. One way to do that, according to Steve Hall, TPWD Hunter Education coordinator, is for hunters to ensure they always maintain a safe zone of fire.

There ain’t nothing like the real thing
We were blessed to live in the San Francisco bay area for five years for what seems like a million years ago. I rode the train every day like all the commuters and I worked downtown in the financial district. San Francisco has the oldest Chinatown in our country and is the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. Needless to say, I got to work with some great Chinese people, some great Asian-Americans.
