As expected, Republican candidates rolled to victory across the board in reliably-red Ellis County during last Tuesday’s general election. All five GOP nominees in local partisan races won election easily in final unoffi cial results, and statewide Republican candidates carried the county by anywhere from 65 to 69 percent, including Gov.

Nine Midlothian ISD athletes were among 20 total from Ellis County who signed with colleges last Wednesday, the first day of the early national signing period for sports other than football.
