Hamlin ‘optimistic’ about closing out career at JGR

MHS hoops teams compete at Mansfield

MANSFIELD — The Midlothian Panthers split a quartet of games this past weekend in the Spring Creek Barbecue Mansfield ISD Tournament, winning twice on Thursday before dropping two on Friday. The Panthers (10-3) placed four players in double-digit scoring in Thursday’s opening 73-52 win over Spring Westfield.

I like to create little challenges for myself that add fun to my outdoor lifestyle. A few days ago, I was with a group of friends and the subject of chili came up. The weather was cold and chili was a fitting subject. Everyone had their favorite method of making chili and when it was time for me to chime in; I stated that I’ve been making smoked chili for decades over a wood fire. “Chili just ain’t chili unless it’s made from fresh game meat, never frozen and has a smoked flavor,” says I.
