HHS boys split games at Fantasy of Lights

WICHITA FALLS — The Heritage Jaguars split their four games this past weekend in the Fantasy of Lights Tournament, winning two games and losing a pair of close contests. The Jags (3-5) opened the tournament on Friday at Wichita Falls High School against Van Alstyne and led most of the way, but were outscored 21-9 in the final eight minutes and dropped a 52-47 result to the Panthers.

Reporters and other news staff members at Fort Worth Star-Telegram held signs and chanted Monday as they walked along a sidewalk near 7th Street. “What do we want?” “Fair contract!” “When do we want it? Now!” The newsroom’s union alleges the newspaper’s parent company, McClatchy, is not bargaining a contract in good faith.
