Parktopia

Get your game on at the 7th Annual Parktopia being held in honor of National Parks and Recreation Month. The event offers something for everyone, including lawn games galore, facepainting, balloon art, nature crafts, a “Duck Hunt,” and water play (courtesy of the Midlothian Fire Department ladder truck). Free food and souvenirs while supply lasts, so come early and enjoy the fun. Rain-out date for this event is July 25.
Movies in the Park: ‘Inside Out 2’
Saturday, July 12, 8-9:30 p.m.
Midlothian Community Park, 3601 South 14th St.
A free showing of the family movie “Inside Out 2,” rescheduled from July 12 because of inclement weather. Bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating. Bring your own snacks, water dispenser will be provided. Souvenir giveaways and prize drawing happen before the movie. Movies begin at dark. Rain-out date for this event is August 10. Midtowne Back to School Bash

All donated goods from last month’s Back to School Supply Drive will be shared with area students during Midtowne’s Back to School Bash. The community party will offer a snow cone truck, face painting, and activities.
