Autumn Beats Concert: The Redwine Band

Autumn Beats Concerts are free and open to the public. No tickets needed. Food for purchase will be available. Outside food and beverages are allowed. Bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating.

Ellis County Art Association

Monday, Sept. 8, 6 p.m.

First Baptist Church Waxahachie, 450 U.S. 287 Bypass

Ellis County Art Association meets the first Monday of every month (except for holidays). Meetings are free and open to the public and include an art demonstration.

Midlothian Rotary Club Meeting

Tuesday, Sept. 9, noon-1 p.m.

Jalapeño’s Lemon Pepper, 1000 George Hopper Road

Limestone Trail Public Meeting

Wednesday, Sept. 10, 6-7 p.m.

Midlothian City Hall, 205 Noth 8th Street

The City of Midlothian and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold a public meeting to display Phase 1 of the future Limestone Trail to be located near Waxahachie Creek from Mount Zion Road to Rex Odom Road. The meeting will be an open house format allowing visitors to come and go at their availability. The proposed Limestone Trail will provide a safe, scenic, and accessible pedestrian pathway that will connect key areas of the community, including residential neighborhoods, parks, and local businesses. Layouts reflecting the trail alignment will be displayed at the Public Meeting.

Annual 9/11 Memorial Service

Thursday, Sept. 11, 9-10 a.m.

Midlothian Public Safety and Municipal Court Facility, 1111 George W. Raffield Jr. Way

The City of Midlothian will host a solemn memorial service to honor and remember the lives lost during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. The event will pay tribute to the 344 firefighters and dozens of public safety personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. The community is invited to gather for this reverent remembrance and to stand in solidarity with our nation’s first responders. The ceremony will include remarks from local leaders and a moment of silence in honor of those who lost their lives.

Mid-Way Regional Airport Board

Thursday, Sept. 11, 6 p.m.

Mid-Way Regional Airport Upstairs Common Area, 131 Airport Drive

Meetings of the Airport Board are held on the second Thursday of each month in the Upstairs Common Area of Mid-Way Regional Airport.

Public Safety Facility Grand Opening

Saturday, Sept. 13, 9 a.m.-noon

Midlothian Public Safety and Municipal Court Facility, 1111 George W. Raffield Jr. Way

The community is invited to the opening of Midlothian’s new Public Safety and Municipal Court Facility at a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. This event is free and open to the public and will include a memorable ceremony, followed by tours of public spaces, exhibits, and behind-the-scenes videos. Shuttle service from City Hall will be provided from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Resilient Together MS Support Group

National Night Out Kickoff

Midlothian Police Department will kick off the 2025 National Night Out campaign. Members of the community will learn how to organize a National Night Out event in their neighborhoods, which will take place across the city on the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 7. The kickoff event offers activities for the entire family, including visits with first responders, bounce houses, emergency vehicles, emergency preparedness information, and free refreshments.

The Midlothian ISD board of trustees meets in regular session on the third Monday of every month at 6 p.m. except during holiday weeks.
