MPD warns of 'porch pirates' on the loose

With holiday shopping season approaching, the Midlothian Police Department is already seeing an uptick in the theft of delivered packages from home front porches.

Midlothian PD is looking for an individual as well as his getaway driver in an incident caught on camera on Sept. 20. At 11:05 p.m., a man was captured on video stealing multiple packages from the front porch of a residence in the 900 block of West Avenue F. After taking the packages, the suspect was seen leaving the area in a dark-colored, four-door sedan driven by an unidentified accomplice.

The suspect is described as a white male with a blonde “mullet” style haircut. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a white baseball cap, dark T-shirt, light-colored shorts, and athletic shoes. He also has a distinctive tattoo located on the outside of his left leg. No other information is currently available.
