Virgil Black, left, and Minnie Grigsby, right, were named King and Queen of Juneteenth in Ellis County on June 17. Jamal Rasheed, president and executive director of the Ellis County African American Hall of Fame Museum and Library, (center) suggested them for the honor. Rasheed provided the attire and the throne where they sat during the ceremony and Juneteenth parade held June 17.
